VIPKID is an education company based in Beijing, China that provides one-on-one English instruction to students ages 4 to 12 through its online teaching portal. VIPKID currently employs more than 30,000 teachers, most living in the USA and Canada. The company continues to hire new teachers to meet the demand created by their growing student base. VIPKID hopes to reach 40,000 teachers and 300,000 students by the end of the year.
The purpose of the Fast Pass Coaching Days is to teach potential teachers eight critical skills to help them successfully complete the VIPKID application process. The multi-step application process can feel awkward and intimidating to new teachers who must adapt to new teaching methods while learning to teach in an online classroom. The eight targeted skills included TPR, student output, appropriate language, pacing, modeling, energy, adaptation/extension, and phonics. Applicants who attend move through the application process faster because they are able to skip several steps
These coaching days are led by current VIPKID teachers from a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and locations around the state. While the team members differ in many ways, they all share a love for teaching and for VIPKID. Each team member is excited about the opportunity to work with such amazing candidates.
Ultimately, the goal for each potential teacher is successful completion the application process. Furthermore, with this additional training, VIPKID wants new teachers to begin teaching in their online classrooms equipped with the skills and confidence they need to provide excellent English instruction to their students.
VIPKID Fast Pass Coaching Days are being held in different cities around the country.
